I brought my Mustang in for oil change, lub, manual transmission fluid change and 4-wheel alignment. The car was taken into the garage right at my appointment time, and the work was completed about 90 minutes later. The car was clean upon return, and has been running well since. The price for the service was reasonable. Allen will only charge you for the work they actually do; even if you ask them to do something, if they assess the work is not necessary, they won't do it and won't charge you for it. That kind of honesty is rare today. I purchased a set of tires at Radial Tire Company, also in Silver Spring, and they referred me to Allen Automotive for an alignment. I asked for a 4-wheel alignment. Allen Automotive checked all 4 wheels, but only performed the alignment on the front 2 because the rear two were in suitable configuration. I was a first time customer, and would have willingly paid for all 4 wheels, since that is what I asked for. I'm very impressed by the integrity shown by Allen Automotive, and will return to them for additional service needs.

For many years I have gone to Allen Automotive for wheel alignments and have always been very satisfied with their work. When my front brakes needed changing I decided to have the work done there. I was completely satisfied. Their 1 year warranty for the work and willingness to get Volvo parts for the job was very impressive.

Our Mercedes (with fewer than 60,000 miles on its odometer) was hit so badly that the insurance company wanted to declare it a total loss. But Henry Antanesian and his team worked with the insurer to locate a wide variety of used and spare parts to put the vehicle together again. It now looks just as it did and drives as beautifully as ever. This truly was an extraordinary effort on the part of Allen Automotive and we are very grateful for their excellent work.

I needed a number of small repairs on my 2001 vehicle: alignment checked, some brake work etc. As always, Allen Automotive treated my vehicle as if it were a $$$ car belonging to Jay Leno. Henry and his staff take such obvious pleasure and pride in their work---and it shows. Henry and his staff clearly explain what they have done when you pay the bill; there's no obfuscation at this shop. No, Allen isn't cheap---but you know the work has been done right. (Do you really want cheap, sleazy, shoddy work done on your car? I sure don't. I've been down that road too many times before I found Allen. ) As I've said in previous reviews of this auto repair shop: Allen Automotive is the best around; don't even bother with any one else.
